High Adventure program (July 25 - 31, 2004)
Exciting activities.
New challenges. Lasting memories. All High Adventure participants
will need a Class III Medical Form. Participants will be based at
Camp Mountain Run. Provisional Scouts will be assigned to a campsite
with supplied adult supervisors.
Caving
Just you, a headlamp
and your small group will journey into the earth with an experienced
guide.
Whitewater Rafting
The Youghiogheny River
- a premier whitewater destination. Small rafts. Experienced river
guides. It all adds up to wet, fast and furious excitement. Must
have BSA swim test.
Canoe Trip
This is no ordinary boat
ride... you and a partner navigate the deep and quick currents of
the Allegheny River. Must pass BSA swim test.
Mountain Biking
Bike directly from camp
on wilderness trails. Lots of technical downhill excitement. Bikes
available.
COPE
Challenge yourself while
you build a team of new friends.
Rock Climbing
and Rappelling
Climb and descend the
spectacular walls of the Rimrock Narrows at the Slippery Rock Creek
Gorge.
Special activities
every evening. Must be 14 years or older. Spaces
extremely limited - enroll early.
